Help me to be more like you'

Father, help me to see through your eyes, to hear with you ears, and my heart to feel the Love & Joy. I want to be a home for hurting people who have been changed by the power of your Word. Tear down all that may hinder me from Reaching out to those in need. Fill my life with the hope of Jesus' Glorious and Victorious return so that I may share it with Passion and others will know of your Grace. In the Name of Jesus I Pray Amen'

If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
Philippians 2:1-4

If you've gotten anything at all out of following Christ, if his love has made any difference in your life, if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you, if you have a heart, if you care—then do me a favor: Agree with each other, love each other, be deep-spirited friends. Don't push your way to the front; don't sweet-talk your way to the top. Put yourself aside, and help others get ahead. Don't be obsessed with getting your own advantage. Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand. Philippians 1:1-4

Gifts of the Spirit

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. - Galatians 5:22-23

Use your Gifts of The Spirit for Gods Glory’

Step out of your feelings; we have a purpose in this life’ God given fruits of the spirit, being fishers of men, to go out in the world.  We are (NOTW) not of this world we are in this world to, reach out to others, constantly being led by this worlds enticing ways, has a way of tripping us. Your gifts are so needed, use them wisely and growth will be apparent.

Do not be led within the ways of the world be -

It’s not about us it’s about God'

Our life is not a journey of self-discovery - it's a God-discovery.

I pray for the walls of doubt and frustration to crumble and be replaced with a firm foundation, of Strength found in Love, Joy, and Laughter. We may stumble and fall along the way, be rest assured we are never alone. The days you feel weak and alone reach out ~ touch the hand of God; Feel the love that never ends.

You’ve never been alone, God has been by your side…all those gut feelings, near misses, tugging of your heart when something makes you feel good & yes even when those hurtful times appear. God is with you, carrying you through.

Why do we?

Struggle with life
Play tug-a-war
Tumble with doubt

We say we have faith
So where’s our belief
Why hide in grief

So why do we?
Quickly give up
Give in an let go

I feel your presence
Within this place
I bow to you in grace

No one understands like Jesus

He gave us life
The war is finished
Walk with strength

Shout out in confidence
Trust and Believe
In peace and joy.

The Joy of Love'

Give in Love, be in love and act with love.
We need to live, learn and grow.
Share love, joy and laughter.
Be thoughtful, caring and sensitive.
Show respect, thankfulness and gratitude.

For all things were made with Love, and need nourishment in order to flourish.  So give that smile, or that helping hand. Be that encourager, show that love and share in the joy.

Loving Hands'

We all start out as babies and need nurturing from a loving hand; and as we feel that comfort and love, we depend on that person for so much in our lives, we grow to the stage of making childish mistakes and then comes discipline but in that we find guidance and growth.

Then all of a sudden we're getting outside influence from hands that may or may not have that loving touch, like the ones when we were young. This is the time of choice; sometimes we find ourselves making the wrong choices, and feel there is no one there with those loving hands.

A still small and silent voice or a tingle in the stomach, and yes even an ache in the heart feeling begins to happen. But like usual we just accept it like it's a normal feeling or coincidence; most of the time we get frustrated and angry when there is a loving hand reaching out to comfort and love us. We've forgotten whose hand formed us and knew us before we even started in this life.

Those nurturing hands have always been with us and we need to reach out and touch them and feel the pain and tears that lived and died for us to have the unconditional love that was given to us with everlasting life. We feel that comfort and love that comes from our precious Savior and sometimes that feeling comes through a friend or loved one.

We need to soften our hearts and listen and be amazed at what is being said or felt. For it is with much love and joy that we were given life. Someday when we are in heaven I know we will look up to Jesus and truly see and feel this LOVE. So, until then, my prayer is that all that we do and all that we say is out of love for one another, not just in good times but in hard times for this is when we usually cry out and our souls are being filled with emotions that can make us or break us.

Jesus was oh so broken for us to have life and we have a choice to live our life with his loving hands guiding us out of love and concern for all.

Clouds in Life

Clouds in Life

We shall have clouds of many varieties within our lives; the opening of ones eyes gets us through them. Beyond those clouds, we can find many colors of love and joy, held within our hearts. It is a way of learning and seeking out what is most important, beyond those clouds there is a rainbow, a promise from above. Yes’ beauty can be found within our moments of cloudiness.

Quiet times of peace, a moment to reflect on what is truly important, seeing gifts of kindness and the love were getting through the darkest of clouds, can bring faith and belief in the unseen or unknown. Its how we view those moments that mean so much, hard times become our strength, seeking answers from Our Lord. Giving of your undivided, attention to His Word in return helping us.

The giving of ones heart in times of trouble to another lifts the clouds from another and brightens there own. Being a vessel of comfort and love shines through. An act of stepping out of our clouds to help another brings many forms of emotions, which transform what we may feel. Even a cloud of darkness, into a glow of sunshine to light up those times of feeling alone, by what we may feel is a cloud of despair.

Clouds can confuse and distract from what is being said or seen, let go of the overcast of gloom you may feel, let the cloud of despair go. Break through them and feel the meaning of the moment. When feeling uncertain, confused, or unclear - look for Sunshine found within the clouds. It’s there for all to see, let go of the clouds of disappointment. Going through those trials and tribulations brings us closer to the brightest star.

For Jesus is Our Bright Morning Star. - Rev 22:16

Friendship within the Word

The Word of God, is not a responsibility, one has to obey. It is a privilege to spend time with God! A man or woman of God is separated from the world in their feelings, their actions, and in the way, they speak. You want to spend time with those that you love. We seem to always cherish friendships, and take time to listen and be there for others. So why is it so hard for us to spend time with God? The way to spend time with God, and in his closeness, is by spending time in His Word.

Also be still and silent and listen for the words unspoken within your heart and soul. God is our one true friend, even when we feel lost and alone, God is with us. Depend on his unconditional, unchangeable Love always. Be still and hear the voice of God.

As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him. - 2 Samuel 22:31

Friend, we need to hear the Word of God, appreciate the Word of God, and depend on his word. Prayer is the silent friendship, spoken from your heart, and gives a closeness of an everlasting bond, in these times the Word is spoken with in your soul.

Hear my prayer, O God; listen to the words of my mouth.
Psalm 54:2

We are to make known, all that is praiseworthy and the Joy and Love held within his words! Glorify and share the bond of friendship: that no one else can give. In your darkest times, the light of Jesus will be guiding you.

In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me? - Psalm 56:4

Lesson for today

THIS IS VERY INTERESTING

There's one Christmas carol that has always baffled me. What in the world do leaping lords, French hens, swimming swans & especially the partridge who won't come out of the pear tree have to do with Christmas?

Today, I found out. From 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practice their faith openly. Someone during that era wrote this carol as a catechism song for young Catholics. It has two levels of meaning: the surface meaning plus a hidden meaning known only to members of their church. Each
element in the carol has a code word for a religious reality which the children could remember.

- The partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ.

-Two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments.

-Three French hens stood for faith, hope and love.

-The four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John.

-The five golden rings recalled the Torah or Law, the first five books of the Old Testament.

-The six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation.

-Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit--Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership, and Mercy.

-The eight maids a-milking were the eight beatitudes.

-Nine ladies dancing were the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit--Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control.

-The ten lords a-leaping were the ten commandments.

-The eleven pipers piping stood for the eleven faithful disciples.

-The twelve drummers drumming symbolized the twelve points of belief in the Apostles' Creed.

So there is your history for today. This knowledge was shared with me & I found it interesting & enlightening and now I know how that strange song became a Christmas Carol...Be Blessed My Friends ~ Much Love Denise
